Conclusion
The Stealth I230IR is a very good all around camera.  In 2006 it was one of the best values we tested.  The I230IR's domed PIR sensor allows it to cover a very wide area which makes it ideal for use in food plots and other open areas.  With a 4 second trigger time I would be less inclined to use it on a trail or scrape. The external battery jack is a welcomed feature which can extend life in the field indefinitely.  If there's a downside to the I230IR, its the picture quality.  Nighttime pictures tend to be blurry and daytime pictures are only offered in monochrome.  The quality is not awful, just average.  Having said all this, the I230IR is a reliable workhorse.  I've left mine in the field for months and it just takes picture after picture.
