AT&T and Verizon HCO Spartan Setup Instructions (Verizon at the bottom)

AT&T Online Cellular Account Setup

You will need to go to www.att.com/buyasession to activate your sim card (included with the camera you purchased).

The Spartan GoCam can be activated or deactivated at any time.  There is no contract.  Plan costs are as follows:

  • 250 MB of data for 24 hours - $5.00
  • 250 MB of data for 30 days - $14.99
  • 1 GB of data for 3 months - $25.00 (in our opinion this is the best value)
  • 3 GB of data for 30 days - $30.00
  • 5 GB of data for 30 days - $50.00

Here is a helpful video from HCO Outdoors on the online cellular account setup.

Internal Camera Setup
After you have activated the sim card, you will want to program the camera to your desired settings.

    • Insert batteries and SD card into the camera.  Turn the camera to setup.
    • Hit "Menu" and then the right arrow button 3 times (you will be in the wireless settings)
    • Change "send mode" to "instant."  Set max number to "0" for unlimited pictures.
    • Make sure "Send Via" is set to "GoWireless Auto."  If you activate the premium account with HCO, this setting needs to be on "GoWireless Premium."
    • For text messages, put in the area code and phone number, ( no spaces, do not put a 1 at the beginning). If your phone has ATT service, put @mms.att.net. So it would look like this: 1112223333@mms.att.net. If you have a Verizon phone - 1112223333@vzwpix.com.
    • Hit Menu to go back to wireless settings.  Make sure "Realtime" is set to "off" unless you want to enable two way communication.  Two way communication will drain your batteries quickly.
    • Hit Menu again and go to the left or right to change any other camera settings you desire (i.e. setting time/date, flash power, etc.)

If you want to take a test photo, have the toggle switch in the setup position and put the camera in the live preview position.  Point the camera at what you want to take a photo of and press the ok button.  The camera will give you the option of sending just press ok again.  It will then send the photo if you have adequate cell reception.

    Verizon Cellular Setup

You will need to go to HCO's Online Portal to activate the cellular plan for your new HCO Spartan Verizon Camera.  They have two plan options:
    • 250 MB of Data per month for $25
    • 1 Gig of Data per month for $30
Each camera you own will need its own plan.  A 640 x 480 thumbnail image is 50k of data.  You can choose the plan you want based on your data needs.

Simply follow the instructions on that web page to activate the cellular data plan.  You will need the MEID number from the camera (located on the inside of of camera near the hinges).
