     Detection circuit is very solid.

Trailcampro Analysis

     The Truth Cam X is the top of the line camera for Primos.  It has a completely different detection circuit then the other "Truth Cam" series of trail cameras.

     The first thing we need to point out on the Truth Cam X is that the detection circuit is from a Uway Nighttrakker camera.  In fact, it even says so on the camera.  Luckily, the Uway detection circuit is high quality, therefore the trigger time, recovery time and detection zone are all very solid on this camera.

     We do like the actual construction of the case on the Truth Cam X.  It is high quality and will hold up to the elements quite well.  However, unlike most trail camera companies who are trending into more compact models, the "X" is big, bulky and very noticeable on a tree.  We would have liked to see a much smaller camera.

     I'm also not a fan of the D cell batteries as you can't use rechargeable batteries in them with much success.  AA batteries would have been a better choice.  However, the battery life is still very solid, you should expect right around 2 months with alkaline batteries under normal circumstances.

     The picture quality of the Truth Cam X is average.  You will notice many of the day pictures appear to be darker than they should be.  The night pictures are plenty bright enough, but you will get quite a bit of blur on movement.

     Overall, this is what I would consider an average camera in this price range.  I would recommend the Uway Nighttrakker over this camera for the simple fact that they are nearly identical with the exception of the Uway is much smaller (a big plus).
