     In 2008, the Scoutguard SG550 revolutionized the entire trail camera industry.  It was the first camera to come out with a high-quality detection circuit in a tiny package, for $200.  Three years later, its still the same camera and still the same great value. 

     Much like the Bushnell Trophy Cam, the Scoutguard SG550 normally detects out to about 50 feet.  I wouldn't rule out the SG550 detecting out to 70 ft. occasionally, I just wouldn't expect it consistently. 

     The best way to describe the Scoutguard SG550 is just as a "workhorse."  It continually gets the job done, day in and day out.  We have loved this camera since it came out and we will continually recommend this camera in the future.
