The Stealth Cam I430IR is a very good all around camera. It is one of the best values we tested this year. The I430IR's domed PIR sensor gives the camera a wide detection zone, which makes it ideal for use in food plots and other open areas. With a 4 second trigger time I would be less inclined to use it on a trail or scrape.
The external battery jack is a welcomed feature which can extend life in the field indefinitely. If there's a downside to the I430IR, its the picture quality. Nighttime pictures tend to be blurry and daytime pictures are only offered in monochrome. The quality is not awful, just average. Having said all this, the I430IR is a reliable trail camera. The I430IR package deal is a great value because it comes with batteries and a 1 Gig SD card. Perfect gift for an outdoor enthusiast!
