Best Thing About this Camera
The day pictures are quite impressive, great color and very sharp.

Conclusion

The Stealth Cam Sniper IR is a typical Stealth camera in both size and performance.  Stealth Cam is known for its wide detection zones and quality daytime pictures.  In those areas, this camera will not disappoint.  As an added benefit, the Sniper IR can be programmed to take videos.  The video has audio capabilities.  This is a very good benefit so you can hear what is going on in the woods when the video is playing.

Unfortunately, Stealth Cam is also known for its slow trigger speeds, 60 second recovery time and poor battery life.  The Sniper IR shares all those traits.  Having a slow trigger speed (4.854 seconds) and 60 second recovery time, for all practical purposes, really limits this camera (and all Stealth Cameras) to food plots and feeders.

You should expect, depending on the amount of pictures taken, 3-4 weeks on a set of batteries.  This camera, and all Stealth Cams, has a 1 year manufacturers warranty.  Dependability is a concern beyond one year of use.

$200 has long been the "golden" price point of game cameras.  For that price, you should expect a quality camera that can be put in whatever situation you like.  In this case, if you are looking for a camera to set on a trail, you need to look at a camera like the Bushnell Trophy Cam or Scoutguard SG550.

If you need a camera to take good day pictures on a feeder or a food plot, this camera will do just fine.  It won't "wow" you in any area; but the picture quality, detection range and detection width makes it a fine camera for the food plots/feeders.
