Detection Zone Test

At Trailcampro we think one the most underated test criteria is "Detection Zone"  A camera's detection zone is the area in which when movement is detected triggers the camera to take a picture.   Detection zones vary from short and wide to long and skinny and everything inbetween.  However, they are usually consistent within a manufacturer.   Although you dont hear much about this in manufacturer's advertising, it is the #1 determinent in how many different animals you capture.  After all, no matter how fast your trail camera is, it really doesn't matter if an animal doesn't enter your camera's detection zone.

We determine each manufacturer's detection zone with an extensive walk test and analysis.  Please find graphical representations of each zone below.  Futhermore, if you click on a zone a video will play showing a depiction of the camera's zone combined with the speed in which it is able to capture a photo.
