Stealth Cam Revolver Pro 3.0 Review

The Stealth Cam Revolver Pro 3.0 is an excellent option for monitoring open areas such as food plots. One of the biggest upgrades is its compatibility with the FieldMax rechargeable battery and solar panel, allowing both power sources to work together for extended field life.

This camera features six independent PIR detection zones, essentially giving you the coverage of multiple cameras in a single unit. Previous versions could be prone to false triggers caused by vegetation, but the updated app now allows users to disable specific zones, greatly reducing unwanted images. It's still important to keep vegetation in front of the camera to a minimum, as any movement within an active zone can trigger the camera.

Another standout feature is the Live View function, which allows you to check camera positioning and monitor activity remotely. Combined with its wide-area coverage and customizable detection zones, the Revolver Pro 3.0 is a strong choice for hunters looking to monitor large openings efficiently. - TCP Staff

Here are your best battery options:

Trailcampro Choice: XTAR Rechargeable Lithium Batteries

If the Revolver Pro 3.0 were to take 15-day and 15-night pictures every 24 hours, this camera would last ___ months in the field on a set of  XTAR Rechargeable Lithium AA batteries.

There are a number of benefits to these batteries:

  • Up to 1,000 charges
  • Consistent 1.5 volt operation
  • Not affected by extreme weather (Hot or Cold)
  • Charges with the included 8 bay Smart Charger
  • Eco-friendly (fewer batteries headed to the landfill)
  • Batteries pay for themselves after the 2nd charge
  • No lithium smell
  • Low battery warning

Longest Lasting Choice: Energizer Ultimate Lithium

If the Revolver Pro 3.0 were to take 15-day and 15-night pictures every 24 hours, this camera would last 19.1 months in the field on a set of Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.

Video Mode

If this camera were to take 15 day and 15 night videos every 24 hours, it would last 4.3 months in the field on a set of Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.

Ultimate Lithium batteries are the longest-lasting battery choice due to their incredible consistency and capacity. We've loved these batteries for a long time. However, in recent years they have become cost prohibitive and forced us to seek out a more affordable, eco-friendly option.

Case Design

The Revolver 360 Pro 3.0 is a revolution of 360 degree cellular cameras that have been on the market. It is similar to the older 360 models, but a lot better case design. The unit is very sturdy as the 16 AA batteries hold the bottom down. This unit has 6 PIR sensors and any of them can be turned off. The lens will swing from zone to zone and has a little sound when moving. The door seals up very nicely and is easy to open and close. A bracket on the back allows a python cable to run through and a threaded insert is on the bottom. This unit will come with a t-post mount that can be put on the back of the camera. There is a USB-C port for the internal storage. The two battery trays on the inside are easily accessible. As always, Stealth Cam has an easy setup with no internal screen.

 Camera Setup

  • Download Stealth Cam Command app and create an account (or sign in)
  • Add device (hit + button). Access your QR code underneath the battery tray. Follow instructions to finish
  • Tap on your camera within the app and select "Camera Setup" to access settings.

Test your camera connect at any time by pressing the Sync button. This will take a test photo and instantly attempt to upload it. If your camera is successful you will see the photo appear in the app. Otherwise, one of the following LED codes will display:

  • Flashing green battery indicates checking camera hardware status
  • Solid green battery and flashing network indicates checking camera for internet connection
  • Solid green battery, Network and flashing account indicates checking camera for account
  • 3 Solid LEDs indicate account found and camera is successfully registered
  • All 3 LEDs will blink green to indicate photo upload in progress. LEDs will turn off to indicate camera is asleep and ready for deployment
  • Solid red battery indicates low battery or no sd card
  • Solid green battery and solid red network indicate no sim card, low signal, or no data plan
  • Solid green battery, network and solid red account indicates no account found

Trailcampro Shootout Rankings

Comprehensive Score: 58/100

Detection: 7th

The Revolver Pro 3.0 did really well in this test, reaching out to 120ft and getting early shots. This really backs the cameras detection circuit.

Flash Range: 28th

This camera did not have the best flash range. You can see the very outline of the back animals, but only the front three animals well. This camera definitely has some blur to it but you can make out what is moving in front of the unit.

 Flash Range Blur

Transmission Speed: 13th

This camera took an average of 32.1 seconds to send a notification to the phone.

Durability

The vast majority of consumer-grade trail cameras are inexpensive, imported devices exposed to harsh conditions 24/7/365.  Most manufacturers only offer a one-year warranty.  We stock only the most durable units and provide an additional year of warranty at no extra charge. The Trailcampro exclusive 2-year warranty allows you to deal directly with Trailcampro avoiding long wait times on hold with the manufacturer and prolonged periods without a replacement camera.  We turn around most warranties in just one business day!
