The Wildgame Innovations Terra Cell XT 3.0 is an affordable cellular trail camera that focuses on simplicity and ease of use. Setup is quick through the Wildgame app, and features like operational hours, a dedicated Python lock slot, and a free year of HuntStand add solid value at this price point. 

Performance is a mixed bag. Low battery life. Trigger speeds are fast, but the narrow 38.4° detection angle and transmission times averaging just over three minutes keep it from competing with higher-end cellular cameras. The case design feels a bit inexpensive, the side-mounted antenna isn't particularly strong, and the 1/4"-20 tripod mount is only located on the back.

Overall, if you're looking for a budget-friendly cellular camera that is easy to deploy and offers dependable basic performance, the Wildgame Terra Cell XT 3.0 is a solid option. Case Design

The Wildgame Innovations Terra XT 3.0 is a fairly well case design, but a little cheap. This camera features a user-friendly setup switch and a tree bark design for enhanced concealment. It includes a dedicated hole for a Python cable, ensuring the door latches securely.

Please note that the camera has a 1/4 x 20 mount located on the back, not the bottom. The latch is designed for easy opening and closing, and the camera appears to have a good seal. The SD card is at an easily accessible spot. Additionally, this unit will still have an SD card slot. There is no interface in this camera.

 

 Camera Setup

    The camera does not have an internal screen so the majority of the setup is done on the Wildgame smartphone app.

    • Download the Wildgame App
    • Create an account
    • Scan the QR code found on the inside of the camera.
    • Select your camera settings
    • Insert batteries and SD card into the camera and power on. There are a few status lights that tell you the signal strength.
    • Press the Sync button to force the camera to take a photo and upload it. This will help to make sure the camera is connected.
    • Make sure to select and purchase a data plan, but it should be ready to work!
