Masterlock Python cable lock
"Works as advertised. Very easy to attach to trail camera brackets. Secure. Fits large trees if needed."
We have been using Python trail camera locks for many years now. We have relied on this Master Python cable lock to protect the numerous trail cameras we have in the field in order to complete our tests and reviews. In roughly a decade of trail camera tests, we have had only one trail camera stolen. Not surprisingly, that camera was not locked with a trail camera lock.
Are we naïve enough to think that thieves couldn't cut this 5/16" braided steel cable? Absolutely not. A large set of bolt cutters will eventually snap this cable. However, in those ten years, I can't imagine how many potential thieves it has deterred just by being there.
Using the Python trail camera cable lock is quick and simple. Shop our wide selection of security cases for game cameras to find the right case for your needs. The free end of the Master Python cable lock then slides through the big black and yellow locking mechanism. Pull the Python cable as tight as you like, then turn the key to lock the cable in place.
We have found that a security case with a python lock (with or without a shrouded padlock) is the absolute best method for protecting your game cameras. Walk away from your trail cameras each and every time knowing you have done your best to protect your investment with the Master Python cable lock.

"Works as advertised. Very easy to attach to trail camera brackets. Secure. Fits large trees if needed."
"I got several of these and made sure the key code was the same so I do not have to fiddle amongst several keys. I also got it in came. It does go on good size trees up to a certain point. Holds well in rain and snow. Just make sure the key entrance side is down or to the side to keep snow and water away from the key entrance point."
"The key broke off in the lock on its first use! We had to cut the cable with an angle grinder to get it off. Very surprising since it had so many good reviews, but a complete waste of $20 for us."
"Stays flexible in the cold. Cable moves smoothly though the lock to tighten. Only trouble that I'm is getting the key to go into the lock, it's a battle every time, this problem is not so bad that I would not buy it again."
"Very good luck, easy to use, adjust to an infinite number of trees sizes. Quality lock opens easy we need to access your camera."
"I have used the same Pythons for years and no failures. Then I moved to the Oregon coast and the sea air is taking it’s toll on the locking mechanisms of my very old locks as it does with everything else on the coast. Time to restock."
"good but should have bought camo one"
"its alright but nothing real special cable could be a foot longer for the bigger trees or at least there should be a cable length option."
"Easy to use flexible yet strong. The best thing is the ability to key them all alike. Thank you very much trailcampro."
"Works great!"
