Pros
Cons
Megapixel ratings for trail cameras seem to increase more & more every year. In reality, the native resolution of 99% of all trail cameras is 5 megapixels or less. Manufacturers artificially inflate megapixel ratings for advertising purposes through a process called interpolation. Interpolated photos are enhanced by software to mimic the file size of a higher megapixel photo, but seldom offer additional clarity or resolution. The result is an exponentially larger file size photo which takes longer to load and slows down the speed of your camera. We always program our cameras to capture photos at the image sensor's native resolution. This allows our cameras to operate as efficiently as possible and store more photos to memory. With shorter load times, this also allows us to review photos at a much quicker pace. To put things in perspective, the trail camera widely considered to be the "Gold Standard" and used by more professional researchers than any other unit is just 3 megapixels.
Photo resolution: 26 mpxl (interpolated)
Video resolution: 1080p
Flash Type: Red Glow
We still have cameras in the field getting photos/videos at this time.
Picture & Video Resting Power (on): 0.35 mW

Video Daytime/Nighttime Power Consumption: 11.8 Ws | 33.8 Ws
Here are your best battery options:
Trailcampro Choice: AmpTORRENT Rechargeable AA Lithium
If the Strike Force FHDR were to take 35-day and 35-night pictures every 24 hours, this camera would last 19.4 months in the field - per charge - on a set of AmpTorrent Rechargeable AA Lithium batteries.
There are a number of benefits to these batteries:
Longest Lasting Choice: Energizer Ultimate Lithium
If the Strike Force FHDR were to take 35-day and 35-night pictures every 24 hours, it would last 29.2 months in the field on a set of Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.
Video Mode
If this camera were to take 15 day and 15 night videos every 24 hours, it would last 4.5 months in the field on a set of Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.
Ultimate Lithium batteries are the longest-lasting battery choice due to their incredible consistency and capacity. We've loved these batteries for a long time. However, in recent years they have become cost prohibitive and forced us to seek out a more affordable, eco-friendly option.

We stock only the most durable units and provide an additional year of warranty at no extra charge. The Trailcampro exclusive 2-year warranty allows you to deal directly with Trailcampro avoiding long wait times on hold with the manufacturer and prolonged periods without a replacement camera. "Good performance"
"What drew me to this camera: This is a new model from Browning for 2024. It has lightning fast 0.135 to 0.7 second trigger speeds with an 80 ft. motion detection range. GEN 2 Night Optics and Radiant 4 Night IR Illumination technology that greatly enhances the night IR flash modes by delivering greater efficiency in Economy mode, longer flash ranges in High Power Mode with a 110ft flash range. Options: Browning is pretty standard with their setting from one camera to another. Setup: It was easy to setup and instruction were clear. Image\Photo Sizes: 2MP, 4MP, 8MP, 26MP - I’m using 4MP Video Sizes: High 720p @ 30fps, ULTRA 1080p @ 30fps - I’m using High (NOTE: I’m not a video person so these options are not a concern to me, but if I do use video I want a 720p option. I’ve found that option provides better video quality.) Issues: Tested both day and night, got the camera to trigger out to 90ft. I had to change the camera angle several time before reaching this distance. Comments: I compared the Strike Force Full HD 5FHDR to the Strike Force Full HD 5HD MAX. The Full HD & the Full HD MAX triggered about the same time. The Full HD pictures were further away, allowing for more area to be captured. Picture quality the 5FHDR was much shaper. I also compared the Strike Force Full HD to the Bushnell (Core S-4K - 119949C). The Full HD 5FHDR has a much shaper picture, both day and night. The Core S-4K captured smaller animals that the Full HD did not. But it does sit several inches lower than the Full HD. Issues: I’ve had a hard time getting these cameras set at the correct angle to capture smaller animals and reach out to the distance advertised. When comparing it to the Strike Force HD MAX (BTC-5HD-MAX) the MAX was capturing squirrels, raccoons and foxes. The Full HD didn’t, after changing the angle several times it would but the distance was cut into about half."
