Pros
Cons
Megapixel ratings for trail cameras seem to increase more & more every year. In reality, the native resolution of 99% of all trail cameras is 5 megapixels or less. Manufacturers artificially inflate megapixel ratings for advertising purposes through a process called interpolation. Interpolated photos are enhanced by software to mimic the file size of a higher megapixel photo, but seldom offer additional clarity or resolution. The result is an exponentially larger file size photo which takes longer to load and slows down the speed of your camera. We always program our cameras to capture photos at the image sensor's native resolution. This allows our cameras to operate as efficiently as possible and store more photos to memory. With shorter load times, this also allows us to review photos at a much quicker pace. To put things in perspective, the trail camera widely considered to be the "Gold Standard" and used by more professional researchers than any other unit is just 3 megapixels.
Photo resolution: 26 mpxl (interpolated)
Video resolution: 4K

Video Daytime/Nighttime Power Consumption: 16.0 Ws | 53.1 Ws
Here are your best battery options:
Trailcampro Choice: AmpTORRENT Rechargeable AA Lithium
If the Browning Strike Force Pro NANO were to take 35-day and 35-night pictures every 24 hours, this camera would last 15.9 months in the field - per charge - on a set of AmpTorrent Rechargeable AA Lithium batteries.
There are a number of benefits to these batteries:
Longest Lasting Choice: Energizer Ultimate Lithium
If the Browning Strike Force Pro NANO were to take 35-day and 35-night pictures every 24 hours, it would last 23.8 months in the field on a set of Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.
Video Mode
If this camera were to take 15 day and 15 night videos every 24 hours, it would last 3 months in the field on a set of Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.
Ultimate Lithium batteries are the longest-lasting battery choice due to their incredible consistency and capacity. We've loved these batteries for a long time. However, in recent years they have become cost prohibitive and forced us to seek out a more affordable, eco-friendly option.
Picture Trigger & Recovery Speed: 0.21 s. | 0.4 s.
Video Trigger & Recovery Speed: 0.25 s. | 0.9 s.
Detection Range & Angle: 60 ft @ 46.5° detection angle (58.3° f.o.v.)
Dimensions: 3" x 3 1/2" x 4 3/8 "
Battery Type: 6 AA
External Battery Jack: 12-volt
SD Card Size: Up to 512 GB
Case Design
The design of this camera has a really great micro size which makes it awesome to hide with the camo pattern. This is a very solid unit with an easy door latch. The unit has a solid bracket on the back.
The camera has a built-in python cable lock bracket on the back and a threaded insert on the bottom for a Slate River Mount. The battery tray ejects easily and the SD card is easy to get in and out.
Camera Setup
The Strike Force Pro DCL NANO has a small internal viewer that makes camera setup and picture/video playback extremely easy. The game trail camera viewer's live-view element eliminates the guesswork of setting up for the perfect trail cam shot.
The internal setup should only take you a minute or two - at the most. Even though the internal viewing screen is small, Browning was nice enough to enlarge the words on the screen for those of us with poor eyesight!
The DCL can accept SD cards up to 512 Gigabytes. This is more than enough storage than you could ever use.
Durability
The vast majority of consumer-grade trail cameras are inexpensive, imported devices exposed to harsh conditions 24/7/365. Most manufacturers only offer a one-year warranty. We stock only the most durable units and provide an additional year of warranty at no extra charge. The Trailcampro exclusive 2-year warranty allows you to deal directly with Trailcampro avoiding long wait times on hold with the manufacturer and prolonged periods without a replacement camera. We turn around most warranties in just one business day!

The Browning Strike Force Pro DCL NANO is a dual-lens camera, featuring a dedicated lens for day and another for night. This model is a red glow camera and boasts a very fast recovery time. We've been particularly impressed with the minimal motion blur in the still photos captured. In video, the camera will take a photo before. This is a great camera by Browning only taking 6 AA batteries. - TCP Staff

"I use this camera for both nature observation and security. Crisp, clear photos day and night! Super motion detection from a distance. Browning quality as usual! Highly recommend!"
"Always a good buy, the Brownings are a personal favourite brand and the strike force pro and elite are great for use in tropical conditions with good clarity at a great price point."
"Excellent service. Such a great selection."
"We have had two of these cameras one attached to a Browning Solar Panel and the other not. Both have worked flawlessly and were totally submerged in a July 2025 flood. After recovery, cleaning and drying in silica gel, both have worked flawlessly. The same is true with another Browning camera, no longer made, that is over 5 years old. Based on our experience we are pretty much sold on Browning Trail Cams. We had one other non Browning trail cam that did not survive the flood."
"So far, this is the best camera we’ve had. Been using Bushnell up till now and i don’t think i’ll ever go back. The quality of tbe photos surpasses anything we’ve had before. As others have said, the night photos are a little grainy (that’s to be expected) but the detail is great. I’ll probably be buying more of these and i’ll be getting them from here! Tje wealth of information available here is a Godsend."
"It has perfomed as stated, and easy for my wife operate."
"Good camera"
"Great little camera! The video definition during the day is excellent. The night exposure is somewhat grainy yet with plenty of detail. I also like the battery life for the number of video images captured."
"The company has some very knowledgeable staff who helped walk us through the pros and cons of the various models and select the right one. Very useful when there are so many models to choose from."
"Very clear video, easy to use, has just the right amount of settings for my use of watching backyard wildlife."
